Is This The Ultimate Smokers Wake Up Call?

I found this video posted on YouTube, and it is really kind of scary; if this is a truly accurate assessment, it is definitely the ultimate smoker’s wake-up call!

The video shows what harm smoking does to the lungs after just sixty cigarettes. After watching the video, I would be surprised if you weren’t inclined to give up smoking there and then.

Ryan Au, a teacher in Hong Kong, made the video to show students how dangerous smoking is after becoming concerned by the number of his students starting to smoke.

  • The video shows two sets of lungs – one ‘inhaling’ clean air and the other ‘smoking a cigarette’.

  • After the ‘smoking’ lungs have had 60 cigarettes, the lungs are then compared.

  • The ‘smoking lungs’ are clearly discoloured and have turned brown.

  • Plus, the ‘smoking’ lungs also have a blocked and stained windpipe.

Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Memorial School trials show the blackened trachea of a pig’s lung after just 60 cigarettes.

Every smoker knows their habit is not doing their health any favors.

But, many make themselves feel better by convincing themselves they are just light, social smokers.

Now, there is bad news for these people – a shocking new video has revealed the horrific damage just 60 cigarettes can do to a person’s lungs.

“What do you think – Is this the ultimate Smokers Wake Up Call?”

I can’t leave you on such a pessimistic note, so here’s a video showing some encouraging signs for the future. I hope it will make you feel a little more inspired to be more accountable towards the more responsible smokers of the world.

Final words on ‘A Wake-Up Call for People Who Want to Quit Smoking’!

This is your wake-up call. The path to quitting may not be easy, but the rewards are worth it. Take the first step today—reach out for help, set a quit date, and believe in your ability to change. Your future self will thank you for choosing to live a longer, healthier, and happier life.

Quitting smoking is one of the most important decisions you can make for your health and well-being. Every cigarette smoked releases thousands of toxic chemicals into your body, increasing your risk of cancer, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses. But the dangers don’t stop with the smoker—the smoke you exhale also harms those around you, including family, friends, and even pets.

I used to concentrate on all the people and industries that got rich feeding us all the lies about smoking and how it was all okay. Obviously, in the modern day, they can’t do that anymore, thankfully. When I was researching all the lies told on behalf of the cigarette industry, it used to make my blood boil, and it became a great incentive to remain a non-smoker.

Nicotine addiction is powerful, making it difficult to break free from smoking. Many people try to quit several times before finally succeeding. The journey is challenging, but each attempt strengthens your resolve and brings you closer to a smoke-free life. Recognising your triggers, seeking support from friends, family, or professionals, and using proven cessation aids can greatly improve your chances of success.

The benefits of quitting begin almost immediately. Within hours, your heart rate and blood pressure drop. Within weeks, your lungs start to heal, and your risk of serious diseases begins to decline. Quitting also saves money and improves your sense of taste and smell, allowing you to enjoy life more fully.
